01

Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Nexus Medical Opinions public website. By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or its inquiry forms.

02

About Nexus Medical Opinions

Nexus Medical Opinions is an independent medical-opinion service supporting evaluation of medical evidence relevant to VA disability matters. Nexus is not a law firm, a VA-accredited representative, the Department of Veterans Affairs, or an agent of the federal government.

03

Website Information Only

Public website content provides general educational and service information. It should not be relied upon as individualized legal advice or as medical diagnosis or treatment advice.

Information on the website does not establish that a medical opinion can or will support a particular claim. The relevance and strength of medical evidence depend on the specific record and independent medical review.

04

No Legal Representation

Nexus Medical Opinions is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation through this website. Using the website or submitting an inquiry does not create an attorney-client relationship. Nexus does not represent visitors before the Department of Veterans Affairs merely because they use the website or submit an inquiry.

05

No Medical Treatment Relationship Through Website Use

Using the public website or submitting an inquiry does not, by itself, establish a physician-patient treatment relationship or constitute medical treatment. Any later professional relationship or service must be established through the appropriate separate process and documentation.

06

Inquiry Forms

Submitting a public inquiry:

  • Requests contact only and is not a medical intake
  • Does not guarantee acceptance of a matter
  • Does not guarantee physician review or delivery of a report
  • Does not guarantee a favorable medical opinion or VA outcome

Do not knowingly submit another person's confidential medical information without appropriate authority and instructions. The public forms must not be used to transmit medical records or sensitive case details contrary to the posted directions.

07

Independent Medical Judgment

Any medical opinion must reflect the available evidence, applicable medical knowledge, and the reviewing physician's independent professional judgment. Depending on the evidence, a physician may:

  • Adopt a proposed conclusion when medically supported
  • Revise the analysis or reach a different conclusion
  • Determine that the available evidence is insufficient
  • Decline to provide a requested favorable opinion

Payment or submission of records does not purchase a predetermined favorable conclusion.

08

No Guaranteed Outcome

Nexus does not guarantee:

  • Service connection or any disability percentage
  • VA approval, benefits, or a particular benefit amount
  • An effective date or TDIU determination
  • An appeal result or other claim outcome

Decisions concerning VA benefits are made by the appropriate adjudicating authority, not Nexus.

09

Appropriate Use of the Website

You may not use the website to:

  • Engage in unlawful activity or interfere with website operations
  • Make malicious submissions or impersonate another person
  • Attempt to access systems or information without authorization
  • Knowingly provide false contact information
  • Transmit prohibited or sensitive material contrary to posted instructions

10

Intellectual Property

Website text, design, branding, and original materials are owned by or licensed to Nexus unless otherwise indicated. You may view and use the website for ordinary personal or professional informational purposes. This statement does not claim ownership of third-party citations, laws, regulations, or public-domain material.

11

Third-Party Services and Links

External services and links may be subject to separate terms, privacy practices, and availability. Nexus does not control those independent policies or services and is not responsible for them except as required by applicable law.

12

Website Availability and Changes

Nexus may update, suspend, or modify portions of the website as its services and operations change. Nexus does not promise that every page or website function will always be available without interruption.

13

Disclaimers

The website is provided for general informational and service-access purposes. While Nexus aims to keep public information clear and current, website content may not address every circumstance and is not a substitute for individualized legal advice, medical treatment, or review of a specific evidentiary record.

14

Limitation of Website Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Nexus is not responsible for losses arising solely from inability to access the public website or reliance on its general information. Nothing in these Terms limits any responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited.

15

Changes to These Terms

Nexus may revise these Terms as the website, services, or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page will be updated when material revisions are made. Continued use of the website after revised Terms are posted is subject to the revised Terms.
